NEEMFest (North_Eastern Electro-Music Festival) features back-to-back performances by electronic musicians and visual artists throughout the day and evening, utilizing two alternating stages for uninterrupted entertainment. The event also includes educational workshops sharing and discussing the latest music technologies and techniques.
“It takes a village..” to bring a yearly NEEMFest event, starting with the MUSICIANS, VISUAL ARTISTS and LECTURERS, whom share the fruits of their creativity without compensation, and on their own, travel, lodge and attend to their meals expenses. They also volunteer to work on other areas of the festival, in concert with one another as busy bees, for the Audio Mixing, Stage Help, management of the Box Office and the Instruments Exibit aka Petting Zoo, where anyone may touch and play an instrument with headphones on.
There’s also a NEEMFest Production Management Committee, that tends to the planning of the event and coordination with The Center for the Arts of Homer, New York, registration, scheduling and publicity, and all of them too are performing musicians as well. It takes a village to produce a memorable event.
MUSICIANS, VISUAL ARTISTS and LECTURERS: they come from all walks of life, and from the North-East quadrant of the US. Some from other states, as well as from the European nations. They all bring a different creative style to the Electronica, Ambient, Modular, Space Music, Electro-Music genre, in one place for 3 consecutive days: September 12, 13 and 14.
A schedule will be posted publicly on Labor Day 2025, 2 weeks before the event.
