About the Artist Event Fee.

The ARTIST EVENT FEE is intended for NEEMFest attendees who are part of our family, which includes performers, family members and assistants who plan on staying just as long as yourself (the performer), and non-performing members of the E-M/NEEM community who wish to contribute to the greater cause.

Members of the general public, who are not participants in NEEMFest, will be charged the “whole weekend” public admission cost instead ($10) and will be PAID AT THE DOOR. This would include people who would be your guests that just show up for just your gig, or to spend half the day, for example. Unfortunately we cannot afford to comp guest passes or guest lists outside of the media. We hope we can rely on the honor system here for you to make the proper distinction.

If you’re wondering why it’s less expensive for a member of the general public than for participants, think of industry conferences: there’s a difference between exhibitors/vendors and attendees. This is at its core an electronic music conference, and we all throw our money into a hat in order to make this event happen in the first place. We cannot put a price tag on this community; it is priceless. The organizers pay the same Event Fee as everybody else; demonstrating this is 100% a labor of love and involvement.

These fees, after PayPal takes their piece of the pie, go completely towards funding the facility rental, the possible costs of special performing musical guests and/or seminar special guests (“Headliners,” for lack of a better term), and rental/consumable purchase items, such as lighting, gaffers tape, name tags, printing, marketing, and so on.

Beginning last year (2018), an Excel file/ledger with all financial accounting for NEEMFest will be openly available, making the money trail transparent to the greater NEEMFest community (plus you get to see what it takes). As of this writing, any and all monies remaining after 2018 costs are slated to go towards future NEEMFest events.

Performance slots will fill up quickly. If there are more payers than slots, we will notify the group as soon as possible.

Please note that only Paid Artists have a performance slot made available to them. There is a page that will show after successful payment. On this page you will to enter your name, T-Shirt size*, and Artist Name / Bio information for the program. *T-Shirt size is only for gathering data for t-shirt pre-ordering.

If you’re not ready to pay right now, or, if you don’t have your Artist Bio information ready for submission, then please come back to this page at a later time. Please edit your Artist Bio to have 3 paragraphs maximum, which is about the size of this “Are you really ready to sign up right now?” section.

If you really, really, really need to send an Artist Bio at a later time, but prefer to secure a performance slot right away, then by all means pay right now, and write “Bio Forthcoming” in the Bio Section on the page that shows up after successful payment. Bio submission deadline is Sunday night, August 19, 2019.

Payment Instructions.

Artist Event Fee for NEEMFest 2019 is $80.00 per person if you agree to volunteer for one of the tasks that help make the event a success (FOH sound, VJing, minding the Petting Zoo…etc), or $125 if you do not/can not volunteer. Payment is made via PayPal only. Note: If you do not have PayPal, then contact us by email. You will need to gain full Committee permission to pay cash-only for this event.

Click the “Add Participant” button, tell us what you’d like to volunteer for, click “Sign Me Up”, and then you’ll be taken to the payment page.

If you are paying for more than one person: Change the quantity in the cart. You will have the opportunity on the next page to state who you are paying for (beyond yourself) in the “Special Instructions” section.

We suggest each performing member pay separately, because you’ll also be providing artist broadcast releases and paying separately makes that simpler; however, individual payment is not required.

Finally, click the PayPal button/icon when you’re ready to pay, which will bring you to PayPal.

Attendees will have to make their own hotel accommodations; event discounts may be available; check your email from us, coming soon.
